Back Pocket

Our unique signature menu consists of nine culinary masterpieces created to embody the natural wonders of each season.

Our cooking is based on seasonal, locally grown, wild-foraged, and garden-cultivated ingredients wherever possible, along with a high degree of creativity and craftsmanship.

It is built on the artistic vision of William Hellgren, owner and head chef, and combines a passion for Nordic archipelago produce with inspiration from around the world, particularly Asia.

Käytiin viikonloppuna nautiskelemassa Back Pocketin yllätysmenusta ja oli kyllä kerta kaikkiaan täydellinen paketti.Kaikki loistavasti mietitty ja tulemme varmasti uudemman kerran!Erityismaininnan arvoinen oli kyllä sinisimpukkakeitto, jota olisi voinut ostaa vaikka kattilan verran vielä mukaankin😁

The archipelago's absolute best eatery. A full five for very delicious nine courses of local ingredients and atmosphere (we did not test the wine package). Can be highly recommended to anyone who has the opportunity.

We had the opportunity to spend four days at this hotel at the beginning of May, before the official season had opened. Our main goal was to relax and make exploratory e-bike trips around the nearby islands. As for the rooms, they were comfortable, very clean, and had a pleasant smell. This was an especially welcome change after our previous stay in the centre of Helsinki. The kitchen also deserves praise. The breakfasts, although meat-free, were varied and very filling — a great way to start the day. One evening we also decided to try a multi-course dinner with dessert. The dishes were tasty, varied, and surprising. You can clearly see that, for the chef, this is not just a job but also a passion. The hotel has a large, sheltered wooden terrace — and during our stay, they were still finishing its extension. It is a very pleasant place to spend time instead of staying in the rooms. They also have a larger with stone wall dining room, which I think would be very nice on hot days, as well as an additional glass-walled building with a bar and tables. Internet? Well, according to the tests, around 400 Mbps upload and download — simply fantastic. The hotel is also a bike rental point. In terms of location, it is very well situated: close to the road, but at the same time quiet. Car traffic is generally low and largely regulated by the ferry connections. I recommend downloading an app with ferry schedules. The island is a good starting point for trips to the nearby islands, or a convenient overnight stop if you want to do a larger circular route. And most importantly — the hotel team. For me, this was the strongest point of the place. They were very friendly and helpful, and I felt genuinely comfortable there. If I ever visit these islands again, this time for a circular trip with several overnight stays, I will definitely plan a stay at Hotel Nestor. I would be very happy to return.

We came all the way from South-Africa to get engaged in Finland, and it could not have been more perfect. Finland has always held a special place in my husband's ’heart, as he once worked here as a student, so when we booked Hotel Nestor we just knew this would be the place where he would put the ring on my finger. The room was beautiful, and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and special. Travelling from SA with a ZAR budget in Europe isn't always easy, but the team truly accommodated us. For our engagement dinner, they kindly offered to shorten the 9-course menu into a 4-course menu so we could still experience their cuisine within our S.A budget. And what an experience it was! The food was out of this world - every dish beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We still talk about that dinner to this day. This charming boutique Hotel and its incredible team made our engagement evening unforgettable. We even got served by the sweetest and most beautiful young lady who made us feel so at home.We will always remember Hotel Nestor with the fondest of memories and will always be part of our love story... ❤Warm regardsEllie & Francois

Pearl of the archipelago💎! After the tasting menu, you'll be smiling happily all the rest of the summer🥰. And the experience isn't just about the taste. Beauty and aesthetics are present in everything; the table setting, the architecture, the interior design, the surrounding nature. The service is exceptionally genuinely friendly. We LOVE ❤️!

Oikein hieno, pieni hotelli hyvällä sijainnilla Saaristotien varrella.
