Hotel Nestor's History
Hotel Nestor is named after the last farmer here on the property, and my great grandfather, Nestor Johansén. The property belongs to the farm Arvids-Västergård, which dates back to the early 1700s.
Hotel Nestor is run today as a family business and was founded in 2009 by my parents; artist Pia Rousku and industry designer Frank Hellgren.
Today the hotel is owned and run by me, William Hellgren, who in 2016 became involved in the hotel business when I opened my restaurant Back Pocket in the renovated sheep house part of the house. The old original part of the building, built of cinder block from Dalsbruk in Kimito, was built about 200 years ago and has for several decades housed the farm's cows, pigs and chickens. The farm continued to operate until 1974, when it ceased farming.
Over the next 25 years, the farm was largely uninhabited and served as the summer residence for the family, who for many years had been living in Stockholm, Sweden.

BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Area of application
These terms and conditions apply to all separate bookings, unless a special agreement had been made.
When you make your reservation you shall provide your name, home address, arrival and departure date, and payment method. The reservation is binding for the hotel when it has been confirmed verbally, in writing, or by e-mail, and when you have received a booking number. As a prerequisite to ensure that the reservation is binding, the hotel has a right to apply certain rules as terms for the reservation, for example a contractual booking fee, or certifying the reservation with a credit card.
Hotel check-in starts at 15:00 on the day of arrival, check-out and room handover should take place no later than 11:00 on the day of departure. In some cases, check-in and departure times may differ if agreed and authorised by both parties before the start of the hotel stay.
If, for any reason, a booked room is no longer available at the agreed check-in time and after receiving confirmation of the booking from the hotel, the hotel undertakes to arrange accommodation that corresponds as far as possible to the hotel's standard at no extra cost.
Cancellations must be done at 15:00 (3 p.m.) on the day before arrival at the latest, meaning 24 hours before the agreed-upon arrival, unless other terms have been decided upon beforehand. If you fail to arrive without cancelling your stay, the hotel has a right to charge you for the first night of your stay including taxes and other possible additional services which have been agreed upon when making the reservation. Departure before the agreed-upon time may also bring changes to the total price of the stay. In case, for some reason, a booked room is not available at the time of the agreed-upon check-in even though a confirmation has been received, the hotel is required to organize a stay for the customer with no extra charge, which as far as possible lives up to the hotel’s standards.
We accept the most commonly used payment cards. The hotel is, however, not required to accept foreign currency, coupons, or checks unless this has been agreed upon prior to arrival. If the room has not been paid for in advance the stay shall be paid for by card or cash as you arrive to the hotel. The hotel has a right to take a booking fee out of your credit card in case this has been agreed upon beforehand. The rate is decided by the hotel, and will be subtracted from the final bill.
We follow good practice at the hotel, and respect its rules of conduct. If you break these rules, you may be removed from the hotel premises immediately. In this case you will still be charged for your entire stay and all possible additional services. You may not ask for a return on these charges.
You can ask the hotel to store possible valuables. In case you leave exceptionally valuable items in the hands of the hotel, the hotel must be informed about it beforehand, and the hotel always has the right to refuse storing such items. You bear personal responsibility for your luggage if it has not been accepted by the hotel for storage. The hotel is not responsible for vehicles and items which are kept on the parking lot beside the hotel.
As a hotel guest you are responsible for damage caused intentionally or because of carelessness (smoking in your room, for example), and which you, your guest, or your pet have caused to the room, other spaces or areas, furniture, inventory, or the possessions of other guests.
